TidyShare is a macOS application designed to help you prepare your screen for sharing by temporarily hiding private or distracting content, reducing interruptions, and restoring your workspace when you are done.

Your privacy is important. This Privacy Policy explains how TidyShare handles information.

1. Information We Collect

TidyShare does not require you to create an account or sign in.

TidyShare does not collect personal information for transmission to us.

However, TidyShare allows you to configure and store certain information locally on your device, including:

• app preferences
• lists of apps you want to hide during screen sharing
• lists of apps you want to keep visible
• keyboard shortcut preferences
• countdown and protection settings
• permission-related status needed for app functionality

This information is stored locally on your Mac and is not sent to us.

TidyShare does not use built-in analytics, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking technologies.

2. App Preferences and Local Storage

TidyShare stores app data and preferences locally on your device in order to function properly. This can include:

• launch at login preference
• auto-detect screen sharing preference
• desktop icon, widget, Dock, wallpaper, browser, and notification protection preferences
• restore behavior preferences
• countdown settings
• keyboard shortcut settings
• app visibility lists
• permission-related state used to improve reliability

This information is stored locally on your Mac and is not transmitted to us.

3. Permissions and System Access

TidyShare may request certain macOS permissions, such as Accessibility access, in order to perform privacy-related actions you choose to enable.

Depending on your settings, TidyShare may temporarily interact with system features on your Mac, including:

• desktop icon visibility
• desktop widget visibility
• Do Not Disturb / Focus status
• browser interface elements in supported browsers
• wallpaper changes
• Dock visibility
• visibility of selected apps
• notification settings for selected apps

These actions happen locally on your Mac and are not sent to us.

If you enable automatic screen-sharing detection, TidyShare may locally inspect the frontmost app and, in supported cases, the active browser tab or presentation state to detect likely sharing contexts such as Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, or Keynote. This detection happens locally on your device and is not transmitted to us.

4. Internet and External Services

TidyShare does not require an online account and does not send your app configuration or screen-sharing data to our servers.

TidyShare may open external destinations on your behalf, such as:

• macOS System Settings for granting permissions
• support or website links in your browser

When you use external services or websites, they may receive information as part of normal operation, and their own privacy policies will apply.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information.

Because TidyShare stores your settings and app configuration locally on your device, we do not receive or process that information on our servers.

6. Children’s Privacy

TidyShare is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Security

Because TidyShare stores data locally on your device and does not maintain a cloud database of your personal information for this app, we do not operate remote servers that store your TidyShare usage data or private workspace configuration.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
