HelloHours Privacy Policy

HelloHours is a macOS menu bar application that helps you keep track of people in different time zones, including their local time, awake hours, and contact details you choose to store.

Your privacy is important. This Privacy Policy explains how HelloHours handles information.

1. Information We Collect

HelloHours does not require you to create an account or sign in.

HelloHours does not collect personal information for transmission to us.

However, HelloHours allows you to enter and store contact-related information locally on your device, including:
- names
- locations / time zones
- email addresses
- phone numbers
- awake hours
- optional profile photos

This information is stored locally on your Mac and is not sent to us.

HelloHours does not use built-in analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies.

2. App Preferences and Local Storage

HelloHours may store app data and preferences locally on your device in order to function properly. This can include:
- saved people / contacts
- custom order of contacts
- display preferences
- 24-hour time preference
- awake / asleep display preference
- show location preference
- default awake hours
- launch at login preference
- optional avatar / profile image data

This information is stored locally on your Mac and is not transmitted to us.

3. Internet and External Services

HelloHours does not require an online account and does not send your contact data to our servers.

If you choose to use certain app features, HelloHours may open external services on your behalf, such as:
- your default mail app when you tap an email button
- WhatsApp or WhatsApp Web when you tap a WhatsApp button
- support or website links in your browser

When you use those external services, they may receive information as part of normal operation, and their own privacy policies will apply.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information.

Because HelloHours stores your entered contact information locally on your device, we do not receive or process that information on our servers.

5. Children’s Privacy

HelloHours is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Security

Because HelloHours stores data locally on your device and does not maintain user personal data on our servers, we do not operate a cloud database of your personal information for this app.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
