I started 100mpm quite some time ago with a different idea in mind, I was going to use it as a platform to build my name and offer coaching/business consulting. I did a photo shoot, got jingles made for the podcast and a whole whack of other things. But, something different feel right, I just couldn't get myself to be truly passionate and inspired by the idea so I shelved things. It was painful to shelf something I'd been working on but the aim of this was to have a passion project, not another business. I run a marketing agency, that's where I do most of my work and it's what affords me my life, I don't want another one, I want somewhere to share something I love. Fast forward a few years and here I am, I managed to join the dots and realise that I truly love personal finance, investing and all that goes with that. Most importantly, I love helping other people especially when it comes to their finances, and so with that, 100mpm came to life. I started with a strong focus on Instagram and I'm really proud of what I've managed to do with that account, take a look here.
Yesterday, I realised a dream, I put out my first webinar ever to a small audience. I cannot begin to tell you how amazing it was, I think that becomes clear at the end of the webinar, though! I felt a bit nervous prior to the webinar which is a great sign and when I finished and clicked "End meeting for all", I felt as though I'd just achieved something enormous, my blood was pumping and I was so pumped up it was crazy - amazing! The best part, I know people who attended who have already sent me messages saying they've acted already based on the webinar and that is such a fulfilling feeling! All I wanted to do was help one person and that would be a success and here we are!
I took a recording of the webinar, used my seriously amatuer skills to edit out a few time-wasting parts and uploaded it to YouTube. You're welcome to take a listen below, enter your name and email address, and the webinar will instantly appear. I'm asking for your name and email address so I'm able to keep in touch and because I plan to do more webinars, I want to be in a position to pop you a short email letting you know about the next release. I hope you don't mind.
In the webinar I cover a couple of really important topics: money management and investing basics. The aim of the webinar was to show that you need to get on top of your money before you start investing, and that investing is a slow and steady process, it's not a get rich quick thing by any means. I am a big fan of Tax-Free Savings Accounts, so I cover this topic in more detail with the aim of inspiring/assisting people to take action.
During the webinar, I mentioned a number of resources and tools, I've created a specific page for those over here.
